Reformer Pilates

The reformer is not nearly as scary as it looks. The moving carriage works with spring tension to add resistance that can both support and challenge your body in movement. It's low impact and an incredible tool for building strength and improving mobility in a gentle way.

  • This is the people pleaser of reformer pilates classes. A smooth flow that challenges your strength, balance, and coordination, but also provides some gentle mobility work and streeeeetchy stuff. Expect a steady pace with lots of variations and progressions for all levels.

  • A great place to start or to come back to the foundations of your reformer practice. We’ll spend more time on set up, move at a slightly slower pace, and (re)introduce you to the names of each movement so they’re more familiar to you in faster paced classes. Expect to work hard but at a slow and sustainable pace.

  • Not for first timers. We’ll explore more complex and challenging postures and movements on the reformer, while moving at a slightly faster pace, and offering more involved progressions so you can push the limits of your current reformer practice. Expect a class where the teacher will speak in pilates jargon and occasionally have you wondering what you signed up for, but always always provide options and modifications where needed.

  • The jumpboard allows you to practice jumping without the impact of landing on your feet with your full body weight. It is known for providing just a little bit of cardio, promoting lymph circulation, and being a really fun time. The class tends to flow between faster paced jump work, and some slower more strength and mobility based work. Expect some laughs, a steady pace, a good playlist, and a bit of an after glow.

  • Restore a sense of balance and calm through a blend of gentle reformer pilates, breath work, and a long slow outro to class. Expect a restful and slow paced class with a long period of stillness at the end.

Mat Pilates

Our mat classes require nothing but your body and the occasional prop just to keep things interesting. We'll explore things like core strength, breath, spinal mobility, joint mobility, flexibility, and and and ... in a way that invites you to get curious about your own body and how it moves.
