FAQs

  • No stress, buzz 0305 and we’ll let you up :)

  • Whatever you are comfortable moving in. Sweatpants, leggings, shorts. Pilates classes do not require shoes, and sock or bare feet are encouraged, but if you choose to wear them, please ensure they haven't just been worn outside!

  • You can cancel group class bookings and private sessions through our booking software up to 8 hours prior to class free of charge.

For last minute changes (8 hours or less), class pack holders will forfeit their class credit and membership holders will be charged an $8 late cancel fee.

We played around with a few different cancellation windows and after much trial and error the 8 hour cancellation window seems to be the most fair for everyone. We 700% understand that life happens, but as a very small business with extremely limited space in each class, the 8 hour window allows other folks time to book in and use the spot you had booked, which then allows us to pay our teachers a better wage, and generally benefits everyone. We hope you’ll understand why exceptions can’t really be made.

  • We’re going on the assumption that if you’ve booked yourself onto the waitlist It’s because you’re available for class. As people cancel (and trust us they do), folks on waitlist are automatically added to the class in the order of who booked first. You’re responsible for showing up to class if you are bumped from waitlist, so please remember to keep checking your email! The automated waitlist ends 2 hours prior to class, at which point, if you get bumped, you’ll be emailed saying you have the option of booking into class. If you don’t make it off the waitlist, the class will be credited to your account to be used at a future date. Waitlist reservations are subject to the same 8 hour cancellation policy, which means if you are bumped into class and don’t show up, you’ll forfeit the class credit (class packs) or be charged an $8 cancellation fee (memberships).

  • Please note that the building we are in operates on a buzzer system as of 4pm and on weekends. Because of this, it does disrupt the class when you arrive late. That’s why we ask everyone to be respectful of class times. That being said, we also know that metro delays, detours, sick dogs, screaming kids, and not being able to find your sweat pants in the pile of clothes on your floor are just ... realities. We prefer you show up late to your movement practice than not at all. We also don’t want your cortisol levels to spike just because of some unexpected traffic ... If you know you’re going to be late, feel free to DM the studio (or not), quietly let yourself in, take your mat/machine and take 3 deep breaths before joining in the fun.

  • Nothing required. We recommend a water bottle, maybe a small towel if you tend towards sweating a lot.

We do not require grippy socks, but you're welcome to wear them.

Mats and all props are provided.

  • You can bring your own mat if you want to! But we have Lululemon yoga mats available at the studio free of charge.

  • We have six Balanced Body Allegro 2 reformers.

  • We do not offer refunds on classes, class packs, or private sessions under any circumstances. We're happy to answer questions about this if you have them, but please buy in accordance with what you think you will use.

Because we know life happens (people move, get injured, etc.) we do allow our clients to transfer class credits and class packs to other people. If you need to do this, please let us know and we will take care of the transfer on our back end. Please note, the person who purchased the classes will need to be present / provide ID in order to transfer the classes. This is to protect our clients.

    Thanks for supporting small business!

  • Our memberships are tiered and are designed for regular movers committed to a weekly movement routine.

Sign up for 4, 8 or unlimited classes a month with a minimum 3 month commitment. You'll save money, gain access to all online classes (both live and recorded) for free, and will get discounts on events and workshops. Classes not used in the month do not roll over and the class pack automatically renews on the date you started your membership each month. Once your initial 3 month commitment is up, you are free to cancel anytime.

  • Pilates is a modality of movement that's been in existence since the early 20th century. It is designed to rehabilitate injuries, strengthen the muscles that stabilize your spine and other joints, and keep you mobile and feeling good.

It is literally for anyone and everyone who is interested in trying it.

  • All of our classes are adaptable to all levels, but we definitely recommend beginning at the beginning when learning a new skill. Our Back 2 Basics classes are a great place to start!

If you're unsure, you can also always book a private to get to know the modality and terminology before joining a group.

  • We do not have showers.

  • To book a private or semi-private session, please contact hello@movingjustfine.com and let us know what your availability is, what frequency you are hoping for, and any other hopes or limitations that might be helpful for us to know. We'll get back to you within 48 hours and pair you with one of our awesome instructors.

  • There is parking lot attached to the building which you are free to use if there is space and if the restaurant is not using it for valet. There is also street parking on Acorn street or you can try the Home Depot parking lot (but don’t tell ‘em we told you to do that ;) )
